What Happens When You Delete Your Account?

Complete transparency regarding your profile, listings, and stored information

Products & Listings Hidden

All food dishes and restaurant listings registered under your account are immediately hidden from public search, category listings, and the landing page.

Session & Login Revocation

Your active sessions across all devices are terminated. Login access with your email and password will be blocked immediately.

Saved Favorites Unlinked

Personal favorites, bookmarks, dietary preferences, and saved dining spots are permanently disconnected from your profile.

Statutory Records & Recovery

Invoices are retained for statutory financial compliance. Accounts are soft-deleted with an administrative grace period should you request recovery.

Legal Data Retention Notice

In accordance with GDPR Article 17(3)(b) and applicable commercial laws, certain transactional and payment records (such as completed Paystack subscription receipts or pay-per-upload credits) cannot be deleted immediately and will be retained in encrypted, restricted archives solely for auditing and tax compliance. They will not be processed for any operational or advertising purpose.

How to Delete In-App (iOS & Android)

Direct steps if you are currently using the mobile app

    Open App & Navigate to Profile:

    Launch Halal Restaurants Finder and tap the Profile icon in the bottom navigation bar.

    Open Account Settings:

    Select "Security & Account Settings" and scroll down to the "Danger Zone" section.

    Confirm Account Deletion:

    Tap "Delete Account", enter your password when prompted, and tap "Confirm Deletion". Your session will end immediately.
